Color Management

Havent posted much lately because the past few sessions have been intimate and boudoir style and wanted to keep the privacy of the clients and keep this blog PG-13, hope you understand :)

I did want to post about the subject of color management though. I like to have clients come back to the studio to review images for print purchasing and the main reason is monitor colors. Not all monitors display colors the same, most people do not calibrate (or know what it is) their monitors. So when the come in they see the images on a color calibrated monitor and see the colors how the will appear on a print.

Since I also post to an online gallery, so they can get a feel for their favorites before coming in, there is a simple way for you to view the images closer to what they should be. Now if you are on a mac using safari you can just go on with your life since safari already manages the color correctly for you by default. IE blah….Bet bet is to use Firefox (I am in now way sponsored by them, just like the browser) which is a free download at http://www.firefox.com once you do that download and install the color management plug-in from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6891

Once enabled your images will appear much closer to their true intent.
